Age Verification and Compliance

You must be 21 years of age or older to place an order with Double Barrel Wines and Spirits.

Every shipment must be signed for by a person who is at least 21 years old and can present a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID. Carriers cannot release alcohol to anyone who cannot produce ID, or to anyone who appears intoxicated, and cannot leave a package at the door.

All sales are made and completed at our licensed premises in Forney, Texas.


Where We Ship

Double Barrel Wines and Spirits ships within the State of Texas only. We are not able to ship alcoholic beverages to addresses outside Texas.

We also cannot ship to any dry area. Texas regulates the sale of alcohol at the county, city, and justice-of-the-peace-precinct level, and many areas are wet for beer and wine but dry for distilled spirits, or dry altogether. If our system flags your address as located in a restricted area, shipping will not be available at checkout. If a restriction is identified after purchase, we will contact you and refund the order in full.


Title and Ownership

Upon purchase, ownership of and title to all alcoholic beverages passes from Double Barrel Wines and Spirits to you, the buyer, in the State of Texas at our licensed premises in Forney. By placing an order on this site and selecting shipping, you authorize Double Barrel Wines and Spirits to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to transport your order to you. Responsibility for compliance with the laws of the destination locality lies with the customer.


Shipping Fees

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on bottle count, total weight, and destination. Rates are set by the carrier; we do not mark them up.


Processing and Shipping Schedule

  1. In-stock orders are typically packed and handed to the carrier within [1–2] business days.
  2. Orders placed after [4:00 PM CT on Wednesday] are typically held and shipped the following Monday, so packages are not sitting in an unrefrigerated carrier facility over the weekend.
  3. We do not ship on Sundays or on state-mandated closure days (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day).
  4. You will receive tracking information by email once your order ships.


Weather Holds and Product Protection

North Texas summers are hard on wine. To protect what you paid for, we hold shipments when forecast temperatures along the route are extreme — typically above 85°F or below 32°F — and ship as soon as conditions allow. We will notify you if your order is being held for weather.

If you would prefer we ship anyway, you may request this at checkout or by contacting us. In that case you assume all risk of heat or cold damage, and we cannot offer refunds or replacements for temperature-related loss.

Temperature-sensitive shipments may be packed with insulation or cold packs at our discretion. Any additional packaging charges will be disclosed before your order ships.


Consolidating and Holding Orders

We are glad to hold incomplete cases free of charge so you can build a full case and minimize per-bottle shipping costs. To do this, select "Pickup" at checkout and add a note asking us to hold for consolidation. Shipping fees will be calculated when you ask us to release the order.


Failed Delivery Policy

  1. Every package containing alcohol carries an "Adult Signature Required — 21+" label and must be signed for by a person at least 21 years old with valid ID. The carrier cannot leave the package at your door.
  2. We strongly recommend shipping to a business address or your workplace, where someone is reliably available during delivery hours. As the buyer, you are responsible for making sure an eligible adult can accept the package.
  3. Carriers typically make three delivery attempts. After the third failed attempt, the package is returned to our store.
  4. If an order is returned to us, you are responsible for the return shipping cost and the cost of reshipping. If you choose not to have it reshipped, we will refund the product cost less original shipping and return shipping charges.
  5. Packages refused at delivery, or undeliverable because of an incorrect address entered at checkout, are handled the same way.


Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Orders

Inspect your order when it arrives. If something is broken, missing, or wrong, contact us with your order number and photos of the packaging and product. We will make it right with a replacement or refund, subject to product availability.

We cannot accept returns of alcoholic beverages once they have left our custody, except in cases of damage or error on our part, consistent with TABC rules.


Sales Tax

All orders are subject to Texas state and local sales tax and any applicable excise taxes, calculated at checkout based on the point of sale in Forney, Texas.
