Age Verification and Compliance

You must be 21 years of age or older to place an order with Double Barrel Wines and Spirits.

To pick up an order or accept a delivery, the recipient must be at least 21 years old and present a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID. Under Texas law, we cannot release alcohol to anyone who cannot produce ID, or to anyone who appears intoxicated. Orders are never left unattended.

All sales are made and completed at our licensed premises in Forney, Texas.

In-Store Pickup

  1. Orders placed online or by phone are typically ready in as little as one hour for in-stock items during business hours.
  2. Pickup orders are held free of charge for up to 14 days. If you need us to hold longer, add a note at checkout and we will work with you.
  3. All pickups require a valid ID showing the person is 21 or older. If you are sending someone else to pick up your order, they must also be 21+ with valid ID, and you should note their name at checkout.
  4. Pickup is available during store hours only. As a Texas package store, we are closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day, and our hours are [10:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Monday through Saturday].


Local Delivery

Service area

We deliver to addresses within a radius of our Forney store.

We cannot deliver to any dry area. Texas regulates the sale of alcohol at the county, city, and justice-of-the-peace-precinct level, and many areas are wet for beer and wine but dry for distilled spirits, or dry altogether. If our system flags your address as restricted, local delivery will not be available at checkout.

  3. We do not deliver on Sundays or on state-mandated closure days.

How it works

At checkout, enter your delivery address and select "Local Delivery." The option will not appear for addresses outside our service radius or in areas where delivery of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. You will receive a notification when your order is out for delivery.


Accepting Your Delivery

Every delivery requires a signature from a person 21 or older with valid ID. Our driver:

  1. cannot leave an order unattended at the door, in a vehicle, or with a building's front desk unless that person is 21+ and signs for it;
  2. cannot complete a delivery to anyone who appears intoxicated;
  3. cannot complete a delivery if no eligible adult is present.

As the buyer, you are responsible for making sure someone eligible is available at the delivery address during the scheduled window.


Failed Deliveries

If a delivery cannot be completed, the order returns to our store and we will contact you to reschedule.

  1. Redelivery is charged at $[XX] per attempt.
  2. Orders returned to the store are held for [14] days. After that, you may [pick the order up in store / receive a refund of the product cost less delivery fees].

Consolidating and Holding Orders

We are glad to hold incomplete cases free of charge so you can build a full case and minimize per-bottle delivery costs. Select "Pickup" at checkout and add a note asking us to hold for consolidation. Delivery fees will be calculated when you ask us to release the order.


Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Orders

Inspect your order when it arrives. If something is broken, missing, or wrong, contact us with your order number and photos of the product. We will make it right with a replacement or refund, subject to product availability.

We cannot accept returns of alcoholic beverages once they have left our custody, except in cases of damage or error on our part, consistent with TABC rules.


Sales Tax

All orders are subject to Texas state and local sales tax and any applicable excise taxes, calculated at checkout based on the point of sale in Forney, Texas.
